Games (organized)
More organized games will be played to enhance sportsmanship and skill in softball, soccer, flag football and volleyball with counselor coaching and instruction.
Literacy (math and science)
Gardening: Campers will plant and harvest in the camps organic gardens
Scientific method will be used to evaluate and calculate yields of vegetation and quality of product.
Stories will be written and read that relate to how things grow when we take care of them. How to take care of the things we love. The importance of faith, knowledge, understanding and perseverance will be emphasized.
Measuring the water needs, sunlight exposure, time and growth of plants will develop mathematical thinking.
Campers will compare and analyze to make predictions and understand how patterns are interconnected deeply in science, math, writing and reading.
Visual and Performing Arts
Specific visual art projects and performance practice will be a regular part of the campers activities.
Results from the campers experiences during each week will be celebrated during Friday festivals. Parents will be encouraged to come and enjoy the presentations.
Nutrition
Campers will have free lunch available if they qualify or they will bring a lunch and snacks from home. Campers will cook and eat from the harvested foods from the campus gardens.
Spiritual
Through songs and Bible stories campers will make connections to Gods creation and their self worth
